Big Boy Room Troubles

Darn it! Kids have such a way of throwing parents for a loop. Yesterday was his first day in his new room and he LOVED it, slept great and everything. Today was a different story... Oh, he still loves it and when asked where he wants to sleep you can believe he says "Big Boy Room", but actually "sleeping" in his bed proved to be a bit difficult today. During nap time he put up a small scene and didn't want to go down, then he mellows but needs to be changed, FINALLY he is down and it's quiet. Hooray!! 20 minutes later he is in his room playing. Arrrg!! We gave up on the nap idea and went to scoop him up out of bed but to our surprise Mr. Monkey Man had already climbed out of bed and was playing on the floor. :o)
Since that little nap fiasco put him in a "wonderful" mood for the rest of the day, I did what any good father does before putting him down to bed tonight. I told him that there are huge monsters under his bed that will eat him if he climbs down without help from Mommy or Daddy!! That should teach him not to get out of bed. Ha ha ha... I didn't really do that.
Misty had a better idea and asked him if he would rather sleep in his old bed in the "Baby's Room" because that's what will happen if he can't stay in the Big Boy bed. That appeared to solve the problem because he instantly decided, "no down" and "no baby's room" were the perfect answer. We agree Parker... we agree
